Steps to Audition:

1. Complete the online audition application to let us know you’re coming (go to the “Click here to Register” button below). After you fill out the application and click the “submit” button, a non-refundable cash payment of $25 will be required at the audition.

2. If you have your own practice flag, please bring it with you to the audition. If you don’t have your own flag, we will have some extras on hand. If you wish to audition for a rifle and/or sabre spot in the show, you will need to bring your own rifle/sabre.

3. Please bring a sack lunch along with healthy snacks and beverages.

4. Please wear all black form-fitted athletic or dance rehearsal attire that doesn’t restrict your movement. No jeans, baggy clothing, skirts, and hats. Long hair should be pulled up in a ponytail or bun and bangs should be secured back or to the side.

5. At the end of auditions, the staff will meet with each participant to let them know their results. If chosen for membership, the participant will receive a 2017 contract, schedule, and membership forms that will need to be filled out and returned at the first rehearsal. If the participant is under age 18, he/she must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign the membership forms.

Overall, we think you’ll find auditions to be challenging and fun! It gives the staff ability to assess your skills and potential. It’s also a great opportunity for you to meet other people from the organization while getting a feel for a typical rehearsal day at Allegiance. You do not need to prepare anything special for auditions, however, you will want to do some stretching and practice your spins and tosses so you’re warmed up for the audition process. Ultimately, if you like to work hard, have fun and LOVE color guard, you are going to do very well at auditions!
