Allegiance Color Guard Welcomes Alan Buzalski Back as Instructor

Alan Buzalski played a key role in bringing Allegiance Open’s show, “The Devil’s Sonata,” to life last winter. The first ever Allegiance Open program finished 17th at WGI Championship Competition in Dayton, OH last April.

Alan has an extensive background in color guard activity. Performing with both the ‘91 and ‘92 DCI Champion Cavalier Drum & Bugle Corps. Buzalski has also marched with Guardsman in ‘85 and Miller’s Blackhawks in ’90. In 1988 he began teaching the marching arts. During his teaching career Alan directed Lowell High School (IN), Lincoln-Way Community High School (IL) and, most recently, Lake Central High School (IN). Alan consistently produces winning units. With wins from every scholastic class in both state and circuit championships! His success in the WGI arena speaks volumes, with multiple units achieving World Class Finals. In 2012 his winter guard unit took home the Silver Medal in The Scholastic Open Class. Today Alan is a proud designer for The McCormick’s Group, where he works closely with directors and designers from all over the country helping them to create their ideas and bring life to their visions.

Allegiance is excited to have Alan back as a part of our instructional team for the 2019 season!
