Cami Janzen-Guare

Cami is Board President for Allegiance Color Guard. She currently resides in Riverwoods, Illinois with her husband Tim and two daughters who are proud former marching members of Allegiance.

Having earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Cami does her due diligence where she conveys clear and high expectations and strives to teach not only color guard proficiencies but life skills as well.

Cami’s marching career started with the West Bend Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps where she was a soprano (trumpet) player in the summer marching program and rifle performer in the winter guard program. Her color guard participation continued with various drum and bugle corps and winter guard organizations including Marquis, Northmen, Star of Indiana, Thunderbolts and Saga.

Over the years, Cami has taught several award-winning high schools and independent color guards including the West Bend East/West HS, New Berlin West HS, Elizabethtown HS, Wauwatosa HS, Mukwonago HS, Waukesha North HS, Badger MS, Thunderbolt “Kadets” and Thunderbolt “A”.

Cami is a DCI and WGI finalist, BOA Regional finalist, VFW Wisconsin State Class B champion, VFW Nationals Open Class finalist, Wisconsin State Marching Band and Kentucky State Marching Band champion, Midwest Color Guard Circuit champion in Independent Cadet, Regional A, A, World, and Senior Classes, and Midwest Color Guard Circuit Scholastic A silver medalist.

Cami believes that sportsmanship, teamwork, listening, discipline, goal setting, effective decision making, commitment, and perseverance helped to produce the well-rounded performer. Through hard work and dedication, students will aspire to achieve their most challenging goals. Competition transcends medals; it teaches youth how to handle success and failure with grace and dignity.

Cami has been an integral part of Allegiance Color Guard for many seasons. Cami has been a director, designer, instructor, consultant, volunteer and supporter of Allegiance. Cami took a step back from her role as director in order to spend more time supporting her children, but we are thrilled to have her return as Board President for the 2019 season. Cami is excited to be part of an amazing color guard organization with hard-working members, dedicated parents, and talented staff!  She looks forward to another exciting season with the Allegiance Color Guard family!
