Kylene Noel Mitchell, Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Allegiance Color Guard Welcomes Kylene Noel Mitchell As Dance Instructor and Choreographer for the 2019 Season

 

Kylene Noel Mitchell lives near Chicago in Northwest Indiana.  She started her color guard journey at Ponderosa High School in Parker, CO.  She went on to perform five years with Independent World winter guards OpusX/Oracle and Signature.  In 2010 she said goodbye to the WGI floor and took to the theatre, performing with Louder than Words Dance Theatre for two years.  In 2014 she performed and choreographed for the Pride of Cincinnati Dance Ensemble.  As an instructor, Kylene taught and choreographed for many programs in Colorado before moving to Northwest Indiana in 2012 to work with the SO Medalist and SW Finalist winter guard Lake Central High School under the direction of Alan Buzalski.  Kylene has been a clinician at The Cavaliers GearWorks clinics and has taught and choreographed for many color guards in the Midwest.

Kylene is currently part of the staff and design team at Lockport HS Winterguard who, in 2018, made SA finals for the first time.  Along with teaching color guard, Kylene has a degree in music performance and teaches clarinet in Valparaiso, IN.

Kylene will be joining the Allegiance staff as a dance instructor and choreographer.  She is excited to start this new journey with Allegiance Winterguard!
